BIAGIO & ZUMA
I can’t thank you enough for capturing this moment so beautifully. I was overwhelmed with emotion I had felt at that moment.
When we first evacuated from the Woolsey Fires our cats had to stay boarded in a pet hotel. They had never been before and never left with strangers. I think I was just as scared as they were. I felt so much anxiety leaving them there plus the thought of losing our home too. It put me over the edge. I cried when I left them there. After 4 nights apart from them we finally found an Airbnb that would allow us to have them too. Once they had settled in, they laid on the chair next to me and held each other’s paws while they slept.
Before the fires, they were always at odds. You rarely found them together in the same spot. And never laying next to each other. It amazes me the stories we have heard of strangers, neighbors, friends and families at odds with each other have come together and found a bond because of the challenge we all faced. Even our animal friends found that.
